    Love this author . Not his best effort .Politics of coal industry and it's effect on the environment have been written about for decades. The story and conclusion very obvious . The book is a grind.

    Another awesome book. From the beginning to the end you will stay engaged in the ever changing direction of the book. He ties all the pieces together. I've enjoyed setting on the porch with my Dogs in my lap and hot cup of coffee in my hand as I turn the pages.

    The best way I can describe this book is like a chocolate chip cookie with only a single chocolate chip. It has one maybe two little spurts of maybe five pages where I got into it, but other than that it was a book filled with just bland conversation, minimal descriptions and well not much frankly. I finished it though, and at the end I felt like I had nothing interesting to share about it.

    In Chapter 31, it reads, “After one beer—Donovan was piloting—they walked back to the office and said good-bye.” A pilot, especially a private pilot flying professional colleagues, would not have had a beer. Law states 8 hours from bottle to throttle. Unless there was a need to use this sentence in the story for the plot, it should have been researched then cut from the text. It threw me off and I began wondering what other parts of the story were bogus.
