    I read several samples of this author's other writings after reading this book, and I believe I have found a new favorite to add to my bookshelves. Her style of writing is flawless, for lack of a better word. She creates haunting images that just stay in your mind. I admit to a few bouts of tears during this reading. Looking forward to reading further into this series, as well as Lost Girls.

    Finished the book in a few hours. I enjoyed it. Love that it's not painfully long. Also read the second book in a few hours the following day. It was nice to sit down relax and read this novel.

    Hushabye is a great first novel in a series. The characters are fleshed out but still have secrets to reveal. The plot is completely believable and has a nice twist at the end. It is a good read and leads you to wanting the next Kate Redman adventure!
