    Do you enjoy bad ripoffs of the Hunger Games to the point where its the EXACT SAME BOOK, just poorly written and on mars? Well then have fun with Red Rising! For the rest of you, dont read this book. The characters are so one dimensional and uniteresting that some of them are used as disposable place holders with the sole purpose of driving the plot, and the main characters who actually matter are just so shallow that they can barely maintain the same personality instead of just reacting to whatever BS plot device is thrown their way. Then there's the "sci-fi” bit: ITS NOT THERE. The begining is rife with it, and that was nice, but then its all ripped away, and the characters are tossed into a big dome and told to fight each other, just like a certain other YA book… To summerize, this book is a plagarized piece of garbage that has somehow managed to fool a signifigant amount of people into thinking its original. Also, if you like characters who still have ears and don't get raped, not the book for you.

    The whole trilogy is amazing. I'm not a quick reader, but couldn't put these down and finished all 3 in 3 weeks. Puts hunger games to shame. So much more dynamic with thousands of layers!

    The book was excellent with climatic points through the entire story. It reminded me of Hunger Games except on Mars and written from a mans point of view. I would recommend all the books in the series as it just gets better and better.
