On June 9, 2008, the butchered body of Travis Alexander was found in his Mesa, Arizona home.     I was sure that I knew everything and more that there was to know about the Arias trial, based on the media bombardment. I was happy when it ended, at least the guilt phase. I never dreamed that I would buy the book and be fascinated by it. But I did, and I was. Jane Velez-Mitchell is a storyteller who weaves the myriad details and extensive cast of characters into a logical, cohesive whole, that by the way, just happens to be fascinating. I now understand the story in a way I never got from media coverage at the time. Jane is a talented journalist. Her book will go on shelves of those who have a legal or psychological interest,as well as on shelves of those of us who love a compelling tale.

    This was truly an insightful read and as an avid watcher and fan of HLN I think Jane Velez Mitchell did an outstanding job with this in depth overview on this case. I also wish to applaud and hail her work in the advocacy of animals we need more humanitarians like Jane to bring about change for those who do not have a voice like our furry friends! Thank you.

    I really like Jane but this book did not reveal any new information except for one small fact that was not previously reported but has been reported since the release of the book. It definitely was not earth shattering or worth the price of admission. The book is a plainly written statement of facts. If you did not follow the case, it's worth a read as it summarizes the facts of the murder and trial. If you did follow the case, I would not recommend purchasing the book except for the fact that part of the proceeds are being donated to Travis Alexander's charity and other animal charities.
