    I discovered Ed Abbey in 1993 while attending college in Virginia. After graduating and saving some money... I left the east coast and moved to Sedona Arizona. Why? Edward Abbey. Read this book, and take heed of his wisdom and character. One of the most influential authors of our time. I still live out west 20 years later and have never stopped thinking of his words on every hike, every road trip, every National Park I visit.

    If you've ever been so fortunate to have visited Arches National Park and the red rock-high desert country, you will appreciate the almost mesmerizing verbal descriptions written by Edward Abbey. Beautiful. It makes me want to go back.
