    The above reviewer said it well. 100 words is word power? Yeah, and then you woke up! And no recordings for the sentences? In Cantonese? If you pony up more than 10 cents for this garbage, you've been robbed.
  • Not useful for learning basic Cantonese

    Many of the words in examples are not the words that would be used in normal conversation. Examples themselves are random. The whole thing appears to have been randomly assembled through a Google keyword or concordance search. Even a highly motivated and skilled learner would have trouble learning from this. Company says the words were selected by teachers -- but the examples and concept of the book definitely were not. The claims in the foreword are seriously exaggerated. To acquire patterns requires repetition. This is just a fancified word list. There are not even recordings of the sentences. The only thing that would amaze your friends about this product would be if you managed to say anything they could comprehend using it. More multimedia language-learning snake oil.
