    I read this book years ago and quit successfully for the first time after many many will-power method failures. After 6 years, I forgot the “DON’T HAVE EVEN ONE” rule. I felt perfectly safe to have one at a party, and then slowly climbed up to two packs a day, which was more than I had smoked the first 28 years! Sadly, I have been trying and trying to quit again, thinking I had done it before and could easily do it again. Now I am re-reading the book and it’s all coming back to me- seeing myself being freed rather than being chained to this addiction was how I was able to overcome it successfully. I HIGHLY recommend this book to every poor, nicotine drenched addict out there. I will be done reading the book again by the day’s end and will NEVER let nicotine near my body again!     I'm 4 years free of cigarettes, and this book played a great part in it. I kept asking the LORD for a majik pill for at least 10 years. He sent it to me and a bunch of awesome praying folks, and I'm smoke free. I do recommend this to every smoker, and I urge you to help any smoker trying to quit, by recommending this book to them!     I'm on day #100 of not smoking thanks to this book. If you're mentally ready to stop...you must read this book. It will kill the urge to ever smoke a cigarette again. I tried many times before, but the games the human mind plays on you to make you light one or up, or to just take a puff, got me every time. This book kills the mind game associated with quitting. Give it a shot!! It can't hurt...AND the author urges you to smoke while your reading so you can prepare for the final quit. FYI...I was a 15 year, pack a day smoker.

    I was shocked at some of the things I read in this book. The author is conceited and sexist, there were many analogies that made no sense, and many of his "facts" were questionable at best. The author may have a lot of experience with smoking, but he is certainly no expert.

    Hi, my name is Valentyn. I'm from Ukraine. I smoked for more than 6 years. I tried my first cigarette at age 8 and my last cigarette was in age of 19, in 1 of April. Now I'm 20 and I don't smoke for more then half and a year and won't smoke any more - NEVER! This book really works, read it, it won't hurt you any way. Thank you Allen Carr!!

    I had smoked for 33 yrs. I was about a pack a day and had tried unsuccessfully to quit more than a few times. I've tried the patch, hypnosis, electronic cigs, cold turkey, Chantix and Wellbutrin. I usually went back to smoking within a week. I had to read this book twice. Once for the head and once for the heart. I put out the last smoke 5 days ago and I don't have withdrawal symptoms and I'm never smoking again. Thank you!!!
