    I recently had the pleasure of attending the book signing at the 92nd street Y, in Manhattan for Knocking on Heaven's Door. Previously, Lisa Randall authored Warped Passages which functions as an exciting book, and fun read into cutting edge, theorectical physics from a daring Harvard theoretical physicist. Unfortunately, many people found the book difficult to read, so Dr. Randall in her wisdom wrote Knocking on Heaven's Door to help explain Warped Passages and address some topics not discussed in Warped Passages. Either way, this offers a fascinating glimpse into the mind of a leading theoretical physicist who is writing for the common man or woman.

    This is a wordy book by typically a self-centered, self-aggrandizing Harvard professor. If all the stories of her awards and travels were removed along with all her explanations of how each chapter is organized, the book would be 60% shorter. There is some science in the book. Some of it was even well explained. It is lost in the verbiage, however. This book is a waste of time and money.
