    Wow what a powerful book. This book made you laugh, cry, angered you and made your heart go out to Stacey. I could relate to a lot of this book, my brothers, sister and I were abused children. I look forward to referencing this book as I work with abused and sexually abused children. Stacey is a voice for abused children and adults. May God bless you and keep you in his hands.     This story was such a inspirational book that made you see the power of forgiveness is a wonderful thing and can turn a tragedy into something wonderful, this book is also a prime example of how the system and parents can fail a child and it have huge repercussions, i couldn't help but ask myself what mother could leave her two daughters with a alcoholic father, even if they wanted to be with him most mothers wouldn't dare think that it would be in there best interests, but Stacey became a remarkable woman and I enjoyed reading her story of how she forgave and redirected her life to help others.

    Good book. I liked that it was very detailed about both her childhood and adult years. Her parents and sister are developed beyond the standard two dimensional caricatures that you often see in books like this. She allows us to see their humanity as well as their flaws - even though it must have been very hard for her to be objective. A very good read.
