    My husband bought this book at Goodwill and we followed it with great results. We lost about 80 lbs in 3 weeks - together - and we felt better and were more energetic. I am buying the IPad version as a second reference copy for when I am doing family shopping and menu-planning. Do this and you won't regret it. Fast food restaurants will no longer be appealing to you and you will naturally gravitate toward good choices. I have a nutrition background so I did not read the introductory information very closely. My husband however, did and got so much more out of it. He has told a lot of people about this book and urges a close reading of the theory portion so you understand the "why." It helps bridge the gap toward independent choices. We then were able to configure our own recipes and meal plans. I also like that there are 3 levels of the diet so you can stay close to your desired weight, eat some of the holiday treats, and get right back on the good path. Also, you just don't feel as if you are being denied "the good stuff." Thanks so much, Dr! This is a life saver! PS: I am also planning to buy the new book - also for my IPad - for the additional information.
