    The characters literally jumped off the pages for me. I cared about each one, almost from the start. I lost sleep be cause I was fully engaged. Hope this one becomes a movie; although from minds eye I have already seen it!!!

    I could not put this book down! It's very seldom that I find a book that keeps me so engaged. Hard to imagine how much suffering people endured and still were able to persevere. Would have liked another chapter. Excellent!!

    The two voices in the book spoke to me. I identified with each woman’s commitment to keep the peace - for the ones they cared about as well as themselves, yet was so sad when each decision seems to escape them and go awry.
