    For starters, I have watched a couple of the movies before hand. Those who are along side of me are aware that they did not start the movie series with this book. However, this book though it may seem a bit quick at some points is a very solid story in the end. The story itself makes things that are apparent in the movies make more sense and gives the reader multiple epiphanies. The Magicians Nephew is a very solid and somewhat easy read, while laying the foundation that I felt the first couple movies were lacking.

    This is my favorite of the chronicles as it was a prequel before prequels were cool. I recommend starting with The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe (LWW). This story goes back and explains some of the other story. C. S. Lewis wrote this after LWW and I think it makes more sense to read in that order.

    I read today with the full intent that I would walk away with a lesson learned. What I fully expected was not what I saw coming in the end. The truth of this book rings true if your faithful until the end we will be saved.
  • Child's Fantasy for Adults

    This is my review for the whole Narnia series. My wife and I read all the books to my son over 20 years ago when he was in Kindergarten. It's a story that will keep the child enthralled while the adults enjoy it completely, in a different way, with all it's moral messages. Fantasy at it's finest.

    My teacher had my classmates and i read this book as an asignment for school. To be honest, i thought this book was going to be kinda boring. To my suprise, it was not! This is one of the best books i have ever read! Its exciting and when you start reading you won't want to put this book down! If you like fantasy books, this book is for you!
