    What makes people turn solid institutions, such as law enforcement and religious service into lurking places for twisted actions? What drives people to uncover and investigate and write about terrible acts and their cover-up? Reading the account in this book reminded me of wading through textbooks of dry facts. I'm thinking that where people under religious guidance are so easily deceived and led, other leaders could gain supremacy. Didn't Hitler lead a whole nation into war, geneside and destruction by offering them what they wanted to hear? Maybe if the priesthood had more normal personal lives, they wouldn't be so entrapped by the abnormal. It makes me glad not to be a Roman Catholic.
