Jill Hunter is happy for the first time in years. So happy she has put down roots, including a brand new office in town.
When her first client walks in off the streets, Jill takes an instant dislike to her, but when she learns that the case involves potential child abuse, she knows she can’t ignore it.
Jill takes the case and finds the accused to be law abiding citizens with a happy child. She takes pity on the client, an old woman who she believes to be afraid. She agrees to do some further digging, but what she digs up is far from what she was expecting.
