    I was disappointed. Had a hard time keeping up with the characters and jumping back and forth in time. Found myself speed-reading to get done. Not her usual quality.

    Sue Grafton's Kinsey Milhone never fails to engage readers as she meanders through Santa Teresa to solve her mysteries. The only negative about Y is that it is right before Z...and that is a sad thing for fans.

    "A-X" I've loved Sue Grafton novels. Then their was "Y". Boring, repetitive, mean spirited even. Opinion: There is no way Sue Grafton wrote this book. I always smile as our hero weaves her way through daily life. "Y"? No humor. Skip this one .& find another heroine!

    Confusion abounds; names and descriptions of characters blend together - you'll need a scorecard to keep up with this twisty plot. This is the only one of Nevada Barr's books i really can't recommend but I'm sure her loyal fans (me included) will just have to read it.

    I have always loved sue grafting books. I guess it is getting harder to remember 1989 and this book really seemed like she was lost in the weeds without a cellphone. While the ending was a little surprising, the whole long book was a constant rehash

    Way too many references to past cases and the details of those cases, as if reading past books was important. It effected content of this book .
