This is an outstanding book to help guid ones walk in the life of following Christ and Glorifying God! To look at each challenge (Giant) in the daily walk as a Christian with the help of this book is spectacular! Will be re-reading this book many times!

Louis Giglio writes an incredibly encouraging testimony using David's victory over Goliath to demonstrate God's ability to work change in our lives. Instead of casting ourselves in the role of David, we realize Jesus was David taking on our Goliaths on the cross. God has granted victory and brought himself glory in Christ and Louis motivates us to magnify God's victory in our own lives.
This book is a must read!
This book helps remind us all that our giant(s) have already been defeated through the power of Christ's crucifixion on the cross. This is not a self help, do it all on your own book. But it takes the reader on a journey to learn how to "lean together toward Jesus in faith and action." This book helped me identify the giants in my life and gave me hope that I don't have to live under the debilitating weight of those giants any longer. "Our ultimate defense against giants is to lean into the all sufficiency of Jesus!"
I am already reading this book for the second time! There is so much strong insight and powerful words that help point me to Jesus and reinforce that although my giant is big, Jesus is so much bigger. "Take heart because none of these giants are a match for Jesus!"

Love that this book doesn't shy away from the hard issues that we all face ... whether that be fear, rejection, addiction, anger, [fill-in-the-blank]. It can often seem like a losing battle, but Louie reminds us that no matter how big our giants are, we have a BIGGER God. It's not about trying harder, but about letting God do what we can never do our own. Jesus is > than any giants that we are facing or will face in the future. Louie Giglio's new book is amazing. Having grown up in the church, I've heard the David & Goliath story told approximately 50 million times. From childhood this is one of the greatest hits of the Bible. In every telling of the story, however, I was always encouraged to BE David in the story and slay the Goliaths in my life. Louie takes the story in a different application: JESUS is David. That simple yet profound shift is a game changer in the application of the story to our lives. Incredibly vulnerable and personal revelation that flips the script on the Old Testament story we all know. Or THOUGHT we knew. An important book for those who've struggled with anxiety and religion.
I grew up in church, raising my hand in Sunday School to answer "Jesus" and hearing all the classic Bible stories. When I picked up this book, just seeing the name of Goliath in the title brought me back to those familiar motivational messages - how I could rely on God to give me the strength to overcome my giants.
It didn't take long to find out Louie Giglio is introducing us to something different; a new way to look at the story of David and Goliath. As he walks through the narrative, Louie doesn't shrink from sharing about the dark valleys of his own story. Chapter 4 is a highlight for me, where Louie opens up about his desire to be accepted by his own father. The story split me in two and serves as a marker that while Louie is known for giving meteoric messages on stages, his craft isn't lost on pages. What you get with Goliath Must Fall is an honest, vulnerable take on how God has already won us freedom from what we might feel like has a vice grip on the throat of our lives - things like fear, anxiety, addiction, rejection, and beyond.
