ABOUT THE LONDON FLAT & THE IRISH COTTAGE

The Irish Cottage was inspired by Jules’ love for all things Irish. A love sparked in her teens by Riverdance; fanned into a flame when she befriended a group of Irish kids in France; and blazed into a wildfire by a visit to the Ireland.

Earlier this year, an AncestryDNA test confirmed what Jules has suspected for a while: she’s part Irish (one of her grandparents continues to be unknown but as luck would have it, the test divined that he must have been an Irish-Scot-Swede).

The London Flat was inspired by Jules’ time living in London. It’s her very favorite city.

The London Flat: Second Chances is an international women’s literary fiction romance novel with three books in the novel series. Other themes include: romance literary fiction, women’s sagas, love stories, and second chances at life.

    Usually when I finish a good book I am not ready to say good bye to the people I have come to know. So I was happy to continue reading about Elizabeth and Conner. Have to say Elizabeth really aggravates me, though I do realize why she has trust issues. I am always rooting for Conner, he seems wonderful. Hopefully she will continue to sort herself out in book three and realize Conner is the key to her happiness.

    From Ireland to London the journey continue for Elizabeth, or Lizzie, or Beth or now Lara.... Which will she become when she finds for new self? This is fabulous story and the writer has you wondering, supporting and hoping the Beth finds herself....and maybe you yourself too.

    I'm glad I read the first in this series first. I truly liked that one a lot. I felt for Beth and her journey to find herself. That one made me laugh and made me cry. But this one left me feeling somewhat angry with the main character Beth. It wasn't as well written either and just to far fetched. From meeting the queen to winning the prestigious award for best photographer out of the blue. I will read the third, because I want to know how it all ends. But I hope the author redeems herself and makes me like Beth again.

    Well, I'm stranded in Rekjavik Iceland for 24 hrs so I caved and paid for The London Flat - there's definitely no reason for the books to continue. The prose itself is good enough but the storyline is wasted and almost sophomoric. I could go on about the continuous, ad nauseum references to upscale lifestyles, but unlike the author who had a good run with the first book and should have ended it there for her dear reader, she milks the storyline for a few dollars more and to no good effect. But shame on me, I knew this ahead of time. All in all, Book Two is a very unsatisfying read. I gave it 2 stars for effort. It's difficult to write and extremely difficult to maintain a readers attention ...she tried.
